Motion
Feedback that explains what changed.
Ready to make a connection.
When to animate
Use motion to explain a connection, acknowledge an action, or show work progressing. Keep the movement close to the thing that changed. The ribbon can carry a signal when a connection is made; it doesn’t need to run forever.
This is a motion specimen, not a live platform operation.

Pressed controls change tone and shallow relief without moving pixel artwork. Avoid elastic cables, gratuitous bounces, and entrances that hold up reading.
MD3 foundation
MD3 Expressive remains the foundation: tonal surfaces, clear state changes, readable typography, and purposeful shapes. Pixel forms and shallow bevels add character inside that system.
